Willow Grove Guardrail

Project Description: Place guardrail to improve road safety.
Basis for Project: Willow Grove Road is located on the top of a dike adjacent to a deep slough. Two accidents in recent years have resulted in cars submerged in slough. The guardrail placement will help prevent further accidents.
Funding: Project funding includes $554,500 Federal Grants, $0 State Grants, and $500 County Funds for a total of $555,000.
Schedule: Construction is expected to occur in 2016.

South Pekin Road Guardrail

Project Description: Place guardrail to improve road safety.
Basis for Project:
South Pekin Road is located on top of a dike adjacent to the Lewis River. The guardrail placement will help prevent serious run-off-the-road accidents.
Funding: Project funding includes $104,500 Federal Grants, $0 State Grants, and $500 County Funds for a total of $105,000.
Schedule: Construction is expected to occur in 2016.

Install/Upgrade Curve Warning Signs

Project Description: Install or upgrade curve warning signs and chevrons at various locations throughout the County.
Basis for Project: Curve warning signs and chevrons have been shown to be an effective low cost measure to reduce serious run-off-the-road accidents
Funding: Project funding includes $104,500 Federal Grants, $0 State Grants, and $500 County Funds for a total of $105,000.
Schedule: Construction is expected to occur in 2016.
