Hazel Dell Road Improvement

Federal Classification: Rural Major Collector (07) 

Project Description: Reconstruct roadway to include two 12-foot wide travel lanes with widened shoulders. Includes horizontal/vertical alignment improvements.

 Basis for Project: : Narrow roadway with little shoulder room. Poor visibility due to horizontal/vertical alignment.

Funding:Project funding includes $1,006,000 Federal grants, $577,000 State Funds and $1,917,000,
County funds for a total of $3,500,000.

Schedule: Construction is expected to occur in 2015.

Federal Classification: Rural Major Collector (07)  

Project Description: Repair and stabilize existing landslide.

Basis for Project: A section of roadway moved during the 2009 flood events. Although the original FEMA application was denied, subsequent appeals were granted.

Funding:Project funding includes $318,000 Federal grants and $56,000 County funds for a total of $374,000.

Schedule: Construction is expected to occur in 2015.

South Silver Lake Road
 Project Limits
: Mileposts 4.90 to 5.20

Federal Classification: Rural Minor Collector (08) 

Project Description: Widen and realign roadway's existing sharp curves.

Basis for Project: Narrow, winding roadway is not wide enough for truck traffic.

Funding: Project funding is provided by $500,000 of County funds.

Schedule: Construction is expected to occur in 2015.

Coal Creek Road and Hackett Road Washout Repairs
 Project Limits
: Coal Creek Road Mileposts 5.36 to 5.40 and Hackett Road Mileposts 0.78 to 0.80

Federal Classification: Rural Local Access (09) 

Project Description: Repair existing roadway embankment and shoulder by placing new rock fill.

Basis for Project: In January 2009 washouts eroded the roadway embankments with damage extending into the shoulders.

Funding: Project funding includes $63,000 Federal grants and $9,000

Schedule: Construction is expected to occur in 2015.
