The Solid Waste Management Plan is a tool used to identify population trends, waste trends and anticipate community needs over the near and long term. The Solid Waste Division Manager uses this tool to develop short and long term work plans necessary to serve the citizens utilizing waste facilities.
The Solid Waste Management Plan describes the background of the program, County population and use of solid waste services, a description of the waste stream, waste reduction strategies, processing technologies, special and industrial wastes, funding and finance and plans for accommodating future needs.
