The coroner's office would like to warn those out there partaking in or know someone who is partaking in street drugs. We are seeing a rise in overdose deaths and believe there is a more potent batch out there, currently. Please advise you loved ones of the risk factor.

NEW DRUG TO BE AWARE OF

Para-fluorofentanyl (pFF) 

  • It is called Para-fluorofentanyl (pFF) Commonly referred to as “China White,” para-fluorofentanyl is a dangerous opioid that’s being encountered more frequently across the United States. The drug has recently been linked to overdose deaths in several southern states, including Arizona, Louisiana and Tennessee. Clinical research indicates that para-fluorofentanyl (pFF) is much stronger than regular fentanyl, which is already 50 to 100 times more powerful than morphine. This is said to be 25x more potent than regular fentanyl. Narcan will work but only in mass doses.

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is up to:

 * 50 times stronger than heroin 
* 100 times stronger than morphine


It is a major contributor to fatal and nonfatal overdoses in the U.S

Recent cases of fentanyl-related overdose are linked to illegally made fentanyl, which is distributed through illegal drug markets for its heroin-like effect. It is often added to other drugs because of its extreme potency, which makes drugs cheaper, more powerful, more addictive, and more dangerous.

!!!Even in small doses, it can be deadly!!!

Fentanyl is the most common drug in overdoses currently.

Over 150 people die every day from overdoses related to synthetic opioids like fentanyl.


Xylazine is an animal tranquilizer that is being found in the US illicit drug supply and linked to overdose deaths. Xylazine can be life-threatening and is especially dangerous when combined with opioids like fentanyl.

DO NOT TOUCH IT!

If you find drug paraphernalia, DO NOT TOUCH IT with your bare hands! Fentanyl can absorb through your skin so quickly, you may not be able to seek help fast enough.

TALK TO YOUR KIDS!

Whether you want to or not, it is super important to talk to the kids about the use of drugs. Drugs these days are not like they used to be.  Drugs these days are more potent and therefore more deadly.  

It does not take much Fentanyl to kill you.  A 0.3 ng/mL can be deadly.  This is NOT much.
Most every drug these days is being laced with Fentanyl, whether you know it or not.  BE SAFE! These drugs are everywhere, and if you are not getting your medications from a legitimate pharmacy or dispensary, it MIGHT JUST COST YOU YOUR LIFE!
Even marijuana is being laced with this stuff.

Illegally made fentanyl (IMF) is available on the drug market in different forms, including liquid and powder.

Powdered fentanyl looks just like many other drugs. It is commonly mixed with drugs like heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine and made into pills that are made to resemble other prescription opioids. Fentanyl-laced drugs are extremely dangerous, and many people may be unaware that their drugs are laced with fentanyl.

In its liquid form, IMF can be found in nasal sprays, eye drops, and dropped onto paper or small candies.
