The Cowlitz County Boundary Review Board is the decision-making body on boundary changes in Cowlitz County. The Boundary Review Board is made up of five members, who represent a cross-section of community interests.
Boundary Review Board meetings are open to the public. Regular meetings are held semi-monthly, on the second Thursday at 1:00pm in General Meeting Room of the County Administration Building at 207 Fourth Avenue North, Kelso, WA.
The Boundary Review Board operates according to adopted Rules of Practice and Procedure (PDF).
Goals of the Cowlitz County Boundary Review Board are:
- To achieve orderly and efficient patterns of growth in Cowlitz County
- To achieve cost-effective use of existing public services by seeing that proposed annexations and developments occur where ample services and facilities exist or can be efficiently made available
- To ensure that new or extended public services are provided in a logical, timely and equitable manner
- To achieve heightened public and local government awareness of the purposes, responsibilities and procedures of the Boundary Review Board
