Infractions

When you receive an infraction you must respond within thirty (30) days from the date issued. A mailed response must be mailed not later than midnight on the day the response is due.
ONLINE PAYMENTS

OPTION 1: Pay the citation.
A) Pay in full within 30 days either at the District Court office with a check, money order or cash, or online at www.cowlitztix.com

B) Make monthly payments with Court Payment Management Services.  You can request monthly payments by choosing the payment option on your ticket and returning it to the court.  You cannot enter into a payment plan until you have filed your payment request with the court.  Once that is filed, you will receive information on how to make monthly payments to CPMS.

OPTION 2: Request a mitigation hearing to explain the circumstances.
A) You can request a court date to appear in person to explain the circumstances by either submitting your copy of the citation with the hearing request information filled out to the court or by filling out this form requesting a court date.
(Hearing Request Form)

B) You can submit your statement online rather than appearing in person at a court hearing.

(mitigation statement form)

You will receive a response regarding your request by email within 10 days. Please be sure to check your junk email as some responses go there. If you have not received an answer within two weeks, please contact the court.

OPTION 3: Request a hearing to contest because you do not feel you committed the infraction.

A) You can request a court date to appear in person to contest the infraction by either submitting your copy of the citation with the hearing request information filled out to the court or by filling out this form requesting a court date.
