The Civil Division is legal counsel to all Cowlitz County elected officials, department heads, and numerous county agencies, commissions and departments. Serving as County's in-house law firm, the Civil Division works closely with its clients in addressing a wide range of legal needs, providing day-to-day legal advice, and handling civil litigation in which County is a party. The Civil Division also represents the State in mental health and civil commitment proceedings.
Doug Jensen is the Chief Civil Deputy. He oversees the Civil and Child Support Deputy Prosecuting Attorneys.
