   The Nuisance Abatement Division receives, investigates, tracks, and coordinates code violation complaints for the Cowlitz County Department of Building and Planning. 

   Examples of issues handled include building violations, land use violations, critical area violations.

   Cowlitz County Environmental Health Unit handles complaints regarding hulk vehicles, solid waste, hazardous waste, septic violations, and potable water violations.
