LONGVIEW, Washington – National Public Health Week is April 3rd – 9th. To celebrate, Cowlitz County Health & Human Services (CCHHS) is sponsoring a PSA contest to raise awareness about a public health issue through an informative and educational message. Acceptable entries can be submitted as a 30-second or less video/audio message, picture, or poster.
- Cowlitz County residents, businesses, schools, church groups, and team members of all ages are invited to express their message about a public health issue.
- Topics could include smoking, substance abuse, physical activity, nutrition, mental health, preventative medicine, oral health, emergency preparedness, food safety, childhood injury prevention, violence prevention, composting, clean water, healthy septic systems, litter free community, or another health topic promoting public health.
The winning PSA will appear on the CCHHS Facebook page and website during National Public Health Week and for 60 days after the end of the contest. The winning PSA may also be broadcast on local television and radio stations during National Public Health Week. In addition to fame, a prize will be awarded to the winning submission.
