A Declaration of Candidacy may be withdrawn by submitting a written request for withdrawal to the Elections Office no later than 5 p.m. on the Monday following the last day that candidates may file. If this deadline is missed, you cannot receive an extension. Filing fees are non-refundable.

Alternative to Filing Fees

Persons lacking sufficient funds to pay the filing fee may submit a filing fee petition. You must file in person at the Elections Office if filing this way. Filing fee petitions cannot be submitted online and are due no later than May 8 by 5 p.m. The amount of signatures required are based on the dollar amount of the filing fee for the position. No partial submission of payment and signatures will be accepted.
