PRESS RELEASE: CRIMINAL TRIALS THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 29TH, 2025

After a two-day trial, a Cowlitz County jury returned guilty verdicts for two counts of Felony Harassment, which are class C felonies.  

 

Based upon the evidence presented, the jury found that on April 2, 2025, Grant who is 62 years of age, did knowingly and without lawful authority threaten to kill Nova Grant, his wife, as well as Keiona Hart, placing them in reasonable fear that the threats would be carried out.  The State was represented by Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Jake Lervold.  The case was investigated by the Kelso Police Department.     

 

Grant was remanded into custody, and the sentencing hearing is set for January 20, 2026.  Based upon these convictions and prior criminal history, Grant is looking at a standard sentencing range of 33-43 months.
