LONGVIEW, Washington — COVID-19 vaccination clinics opening in Cowlitz County this Saturday and Sunday will make it easier for people to access Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
This Sunday, May 9, the Cowlitz County Event Center, 1900 7th Ave, Longview, vaccination site will once again provide Pfizer vaccine. Pfizer is available to people age 16 years and older and requires two doses.
Vaccine will be prioritized for the more than 800 people who received their first dose at the site on April 18. They were given a second-dose appointment for May 9 and should return at the same time as their first-dose appointment.
Between 2-4pm, people age 16 or older who do not have an appointment can show up to the site to receive their first or second dose of the Pfizer vaccine while supply lasts. At least 300 doses will be available for people without an appointment.
Everyone who gets their second dose at the site must provide their COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card, which states their first dose date and vaccine type. In alignment with CDC guidelines, second doses will not be provided less than 21 days apart.
The Cowlitz County Event Center vaccination site will remain open on Sundays through May 16. After that date, Cowlitz County Health and Human Services will close the site to prioritize mobile vaccination clinics.
That means people who get their first dose at the Cowlitz County Event Center this Sunday will need to schedule their second-dose appointment at another location. They will be provided with instructions at their appointment and can also call (360) 414-5599 for assistance.
Everyone who gets vaccinated at the site must complete a consent form prior to their first- and second-dose appointment. The form can be downloaded from Cowlitz County Health and Human Services’ vaccine webpage or completed at the site.

People can arrive to the site by car or on foot. Drivers must go through the drive-thru line located at the 3rd Avenue entrance. Walkers must enter through the 7th Avenue entrance.
Other clinics will offer vaccine this Saturday in Longview, Woodland
A vaccination clinic at the St. Rose Church parish center, 701 26th Ave, Longview, will prioritize giving up to 200 doses of Moderna vaccine to immigrants, refugees and communities of color this Saturday, May 8. Moderna is available to people age 18 years and older and requires two doses.
People can reserve their dose by scheduling an appointment. They can also show up to the site without an appointment between 9am-noon or 1-4pm to get vaccinated while supply lasts. To schedule an appointment between 9am-noon, click here; to schedule an appointment between 1-4pm, click here.
Cowlitz County Health and Human Services is coordinating the site with Child and Adolescent Clinic, the Ethnic Support Council and St. Rose de Viterbo Catholic Church. People who have questions can call the Ethnic Support Council: (360) 431-1662 or (360) 636-2791 (a Spanish option is available).
Also on Saturday, May 8 is a vaccination clinic hosted by Clark County Public Health at Woodland High School, 1500 Dike Access Road, Woodland. The clinic will offer Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Johnson & Johnson vaccine is available for people age 18 years and older and requires one dose.
About 1,000 appointments are available. People can reserve their dose by scheduling an appointment online or by calling Clark County Public Health at (888) 225-4625 (language assistance is available). Those without an appointment can show up between 11am-4pm to get vaccinated while supply lasts.
Second doses of Pfizer and Moderna vaccine will be provided at the St. Rose Church parish center and Woodland High School on Saturday, June 5. People who received their first dose at either location should return on that date for their second dose.
Vaccination is free of charge for everyone. ID and health insurance are not required. People who are getting vaccinated do not need to provide a social security number, or other documents with their immigration status, to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
