LONGVIEW, Washington — A COVID-19 vaccination site at the Cowlitz County Event Center (1900 7th Ave Longview) will provide second doses only this week to ensure people are fully vaccinated. Since opening the vaccination site, 3,389 first doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine have been given to people who are eligible.
Those who received their first dose at the vaccination site on February 24 or 25 were given
a second-dose appointment for March 17 or 18. They should return at the same time and day of the week as their first-dose appointment. Per CDC guidelines, the two-dose Pfizer vaccine should be administered no sooner than 21 days apart.
Vaccination at the Cowlitz County Event Center is by appointment only. This week, it is only open to people who received their first dose at the vaccination site three weeks ago. People who received their first dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines elsewhere should work with their provider to schedule their second-dose appointment.
First doses will not be provided at the Cowlitz County Event Center this week.
People who get vaccinated at the vaccination site this week will be asked to provide the COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card they received at their first-dose appointment. The card states the first dose date and the vaccine type. Just like their first-dose appointment, people will also be asked to complete an immunization consent form.
The consent form can be viewed and downloaded by clicking the link below or from the Cowlitz County Health and Human Services vaccine webpage. People can also complete the consent form at the vaccination site on the day of their appointment.

People can arrive to the vaccination site by car or on foot. Drivers must go through the drive-thru
line located at the 3rd Avenue entrance. Walkers must enter through the 7th Avenue entrance. People who are getting vaccinated should dress in clothing that allows vaccinators to easily access their upper arm.
Vaccination is free of charge for everyone whether or not they have health insurance.
Cowlitz County Health and Human Services is coordinating the vaccination site with Safeway.
Added support comes from other Cowlitz County departments and local partners as well as an incident management team helping Cowlitz, Clark and Skamania counties setup mobile and
fixed-location vaccination sites across the three county region.
