Notice of Expiration
The Cowlitz County Noxious Weed Control Board is accepting applications from residents interested in serving on the Noxious Weed Control Board. Appointments will be conducted per the rules outlined in RCW 17.10.050. Applications will be accepted and reviewed for the following expiring terms:
Weed District No. 1:
North Central County; Brynion, Ostrander, Rose Valley
Weed District No. 4:
South Central County; Longview, Kalama, Owl Creek, Carrolls, Tunstall
This is a non-paying 4-year term position appointed by the Cowlitz County Board of Commissioners (BOCC) to oversee the noxious weed control program’s policies and priorities within the County.

All applications must be completed and received by the Noxious Weed Control Program by Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at 4 PM.
The Noxious Weed Control Board will review applications at a hearing scheduled for January 13, 2021, at 6 PM. Following the hearing, the Noxious Weed Control Board will hold their regular meeting to discuss applications and recommend candidates to the BOCC for the appointment of the District #1 and District #4 positions. The BOCC will appoint the new terms, which will begin March 1, 2021.
