[ARCHIVED] Press Release: Cowlitz COVID-19 Non-Compliance Reporting

March 27, 2020 at 1345 hrs.

The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) may be stressful for people. Fear and anxiety about a disease can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions throughout our community. Following Governor Inslee’s Stay Home-Stay Healthy Order, the Cowlitz County COVID-19 Incident Management Team (IMT) established a Non-Compliance Reporting resource. The IMT is neither encouraging nor discouraging reporting suspected violations. Community leaders, first responders, and health care professionals ARE stressing the need to Stay Home and Stay Healthy. It is largely believed Cowlitz County residents know what needs to be done and are doing it.

The resource was created to alleviate the burden on the Cowlitz 911 center and to provide concerned citizens a unified point of contact where suspected violations could be reported and addressed. The   1-888-230-4970 number directs a reporte to complete the online inquiry form which can be located at www.co.cowlitz.wa.us . Additional questions or concerns can be directed to imt.pio@co.cowlitz.wa.us
