Cowlitz County Health and Human Services (CCHHS) has reported four additional confirmed positive test results for novel coronavirus, COVID-19, in Cowlitz County. These cases bring the total number of cases in Cowlitz County to seven (7).
The latest confirmed cases of Cowlitz County residents are:
4 | 3/25 | M, 30’s | Recovering at home |
5 | 3/25 | F, 70’s | At St. John’s Medical Center |
6 | 3/26 | M, 70’s | At St. John’s Medical Center |
7 | 3/26 | M, 60’s | Recovering at home |
CCHHS is working as quickly as possible to identify close contacts of the confirmed cases. Close contacts, which could include family members and coworkers, will be instructed to stay home for 14 days after their last contact with the confirmed cases. CCHHS will continue to provide local updates on the Cowlitz County novel coronavirus webpage . Additional information for people who are risk for serious illness from COVID-19 is available on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website and The Washington State Department of Health website.
The Joint Information Center and CCHHS is currently waiting for the latest number of negative results, which has not been provided by the state. Once available, minor discrepancies in negative result numbers may occur due to missing address information for patients. In those cases, the negative test results may not be assigned an accountable county.
