The Veterans Service Center and VFW Service Office Post 1035 are both closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Through applications for assistance, Cowlitz Health and Human Services (CCHHS) supports local veterans, their families, and nationally-recognized Veterans’ service organizations in Cowlitz County. CCHHS has created a temporary way for indigent veterans to submit applications for assistance. At this time, veterans may submit an application by phone only. Beginning Wednesday, March 25, veterans can call 360-577-3198, Tuesday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Information will also be published on the Veteran’s Relief webpage and on the CCHHS Facebook page.

The Veterans Service Center and VFW Service Office Post 1035 are both closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Because of this closure they are unable to process applications for assistance from the Cowlitz County Veteran’s Relief Fund. Through applications for assistance, Cowlitz Health and Human Services (CCHHS) supports local veterans, their families, and nationally-recognized Veterans’ service organizations in Cowlitz County. CCHHS is planning a temporary process for indigent veteran’s to submit applications for assistance. The temporary process will be announced in a media release on Monday, March 23. Information will also be published on the Veteran’s Assistance webpage and on the Cowlitz County Health and Human Services Facebook page.
