COWLITZ COUNTY CLERK’S OFFICE CLOSED FOR
ON-SITE SERVICES EXCEPT PROTECTION ORDERS

In an effort to limit the spread of COVID-19, our office will be closed to the public effective Monday, March 23, 2020. The day we will open will depend on the Governor’s and Superior Court’s orders.
The public is able to do most of their business with the Clerk’s office either via regular mail, online, or by phone. Contact information for the Clerk’s office is listed below.
Superior Court has postponed all jury trials until July 28th, 2020. Jurors do not need to report until further notice. For questions on juror issues, refer to our website or email jurymsg@co.cowlitz.wa.us.
Filings: Send pleadings through the USPS to Cowlitz County Clerk, 312 SW First Ave, Kelso, WA. 98626. We have installed a drop box for filings at the courthouse. Please enclose any appropriate fees, MONEY ORDER only, with the documents. DO NOT LEAVE CASH. If you want to receive a conformed copy at no charge, enclose the copies and include a self-addressed envelope with appropriate postage. You may request copies by email, or regular mail to be sent after payment for the same. Please contact us at the number(s) below to request copies or visit our website under ‘Records Request’.
Hearings: Please check the website https://www.cowlitzsuperiorcourt.us/covid-19 for updated information regarding Superior Court. Non-emergent hearings shall be delayed until after April 24, 2020, pursuant to the Administrative Order dated June 30th, 2020 and Supreme Court Order No. 25700-B-606 dated March 18, 2020.
