A second person has tested positive for novel coronavirus, COVID-19, in Cowlitz County. This new case
brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in Cowlitz County to two.

The first case announced earlier this morning is a male in his 70s. The patient had been in isolation at
PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center pending test results and is now recovering at home. The second case
is a male in his 60s. This patient is in isolation at PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center.

The Health Department is working as quickly as possible to identify close contacts of the confirmed case.
Close contacts, which could include family members and coworkers, will be instructed to stay home for 14
days after their last contact with the confirmed case.

Health and Human Services will release additional information as it becomes available.
