5th Meeting – March 13, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.
The fifth meeting of the newly established Ad Hoc Committee has been postponed. A new date and time for the meeting will be established and noticed.
Although significant progress toward the creation of a site plan and the associated costs to establish a designated site have been made, the added workload created by the COVID-19 response has not allowed County staff to finalize their work and recommendations.
The Ad Hoc Committee was established December 10, 2019 comprised of Cowlitz County Commissioner Dennis Weber, City of Longview Manager Kurt Sacha, City of Kelso Manager Andy Hamilton, City of Longview Councilmember Ruth Kendall and City of Kelso Councilmember Lisa Alexander.
The first meeting was held January 7, 2020. The second meeting was held January 21, 2020. The third meeting was held February 11, 2020. The fourth meeting was held on February 21, 2020. The Ad Hoc Committee will meet as needed to identify alternative sites to locate unsheltered citizens living in Cowlitz County.
