NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Cowlitz County Hearing Examiner will hold an open record, quasi-judicial, public hearing on Thursday, November 2, 2017, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Cowlitz Regional Conference Center, 1900 7th Ave SW, Longview, WA, and concluding upon completion of proceedings, to consider the following Shoreline Substantial Development and Conditional Use Permit applications:

No. SL 17-0992, submitted by Millennium Bulk Terminals – Longview, LLC, to construct and operate a coal shipping and export terminal within the shoreline jurisdiction of the Columbia River. The proposed project includes construction of eight rail lines on the site; two new docks on the Columbia River, dredging to enable vessel access between the Columbia River shipping lanes and the new docks, two ship loaders; coal stockpile pads; and associated facilities, conveyors, and equipment. The project is located at 4029 Industrial Way, Longview, WA, within; Sections 25,26,35 and 36, Township 8 North, Range 3 West, W.M; approximately river mile 63; Parcel #s 619530400, 61950, 61953, WDNR Aquatics Land Lease #20-B09222, and BPA Parcels 61954 and 6195303. The Columbia River at the project location is an Urban Shoreline of Statewide Significance.
