Posted on: June 20, 2017[ARCHIVED] Assessor's Notice of Value Change for 2018 Payable
The Assessor’s Office will mail annual Notice of Value (NOV) statements to residential and commercial property owners throughout Cowlitz County on June 26, 2017. This will notify property owners of the assessed value that we intend to use in calculating property taxes due in 2018.
The Assessor is required to send NOVs to those property owners whose value has changed from the previous year. This year we have opted to send them to all property owners, whether or not there has been a change. In addition, there is a significant amount of new construction throughout the county yet to be valued. This process will be completed by August 31st, after which time we will send a Notice of Value to those property owners with new construction value.
