On February 5th, 2026, Jedadia Kanooth was sentenced to a total of 87 months after being found guilty by a jury of Assault in the Second Degree and Felony Harassment. The jury also found Kanooth was armed with a firearm during the commission of the crime. The evidence presented at trial showed Kanooth was involved in a verbal dispute with a 15-year-old. During the dispute, Kanooth pointed a 9-millimeter Taurus handgun at the juvenile. After obtaining a search warrant, police located the gun in Kanooth’s residence. The State was represented by Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Devon Waldman.
