Cowlitz Fresh!
Community Supported Agriculture
The Cowlitz County Healthy Workforce Committee and Willow Grove Gardens have partnered to provide two opportunities to staff. Each Thursday from June to October, Willow Grove Gardens drops off "shares" of fresh, organic produce from their farm. Shares are distributed to County departments for staff to sample each week. Staff can also purchase their very own shares, or half-shares. These shares can be delivered to the County with the County shares, or can be picked up directly from the farm. Share deliveries can start at any time during the season. Contact the farm directly for pricing and share details - the cost of shares started later in the season will be prorated accordingly. For more information, see the program flyer from Willow Grove.
Have recipes for local produce, or storage tips? Any fantastic food photos you'd like to share? Fill out this form so that it can be added to our database! Each submission will be entered into a weekly gift certificate prize drawing. Also, at the end of the CSA season a grand prize will be given for the best entry (by popular vote).
