Transfer Title

Please note: You have 15 calendar days to transfer a vehicle into your name. On the 16th day, monetary penalties begin to accrue.

What to bring when transferring the title*

• Vehicle or Vessle title, with interest released
• Odometer Disclosure Statement for vehicles less than 10 years old, signed by both buyer and seller
• Bill of sale
• Payment in form of cash, check, and credit/debit card (service fee may apply)

*Additional information or documentation may be required.

Military Personnel

Information regarding:

• Nonresidents, stationed in Washington State;
• Washington residents, stationed outside of the state;
• Temporary permits; and
• Tax Exemptions.
