Every 15 Minutes

of Cowlitz County

Every 15 Minutes is an intense two-day program designed to caution high school juniors and seniors against the dangers of drinking and driving.  Local law enforcement meet and discuss with the students topics related to drinking, taking drugs, and driving; they also talk about making mature, responsible decisions when lives are at stake--whether it be their own, or someone else's.  The Every 15 Minutes program was started in Washington state by the Spokane Police Department in 1990.  Cowlitz County started the program in 1996, and has been doing it at area schools every year since 1996.

Every year, the program is funded through donations from community organizations and individuals.  This program is not funded by the Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office, or other tax dollars, so your donations are what make this program successful.  We'd be very appreciative of any financial help you can give.  To see who's donated over the years, please check out the Sponsors page.  If you are interested in keeping this successful program in Cowlitz County's high schools, please contact the Sheriff's Office at (360) 577-3092.
