The Child Support Services Division of the prosecutor’s office, which is located at 871-11th Avenue in Longview, is responsible for enforcement of unpaid child support obligations. The office handles both welfare and non-welfare cases and provides services in conjunction with the State Office of Support Enforcement in Vancouver, whether the non-paying parent lives in Cowlitz County, in another county in the state of Washington, or in another state. The Child Support Services Division also handles cases establishing paternity and obtaining orders for child support.
