LIMITED EDITION DVD: R.A. LONG DOCUMENTARY "OURS TO GIVE", AVAILABLE EXCLUSIVELY AT OUR MUSEUM GIFT SHOP!

Best Kept Secret in Cowlitz County!

Big Sale Going on Now!  Did you know that we have a very unique gift shop here at the museum?  Now is a great time to check out the museum store as more than a hundred items family from books and cedar grilling planks to toys are marked down up to 50% off to make room for new inventory.  Looking for a new game to play with the family?  Try an old one with Alphabet Roundabout, a challenging crossword-style word game created in the spirit of Victorian whimsy.  With the 30th anniversary of the eruption of Mt. St. Helens this year, Frank Parchmani's  Echoes of Fury is a must read.  Pick up a singed copy for yourself before they run out.

New books include Barb Owen's Making the Grade: Plucky Schoolmarms of Kittitas County, kids coloring books, and for the 100 year anniversary of Boy Scouts of America the Boy Scouts Handbook: First Edition.  This year is also the 100 year anniversary of women voting in Washington; commemorate the women of our state voting from 1910 through 2010 with Women's Votes, Women's Voices by Shanna Stevenson. Kids, get ready for a variety of old fashioned toys at the museum store including kits marbles, kazoos, die cast pencil sharpeners, and drop spindle kits.  Come look around and treat yourself to a great deal.

For those of you who want to curl up with a good book, we have several new arrivals waiting for a place in your library, including autographed copies of Vicki Selander's Castle Rock from the Images of America series. For the determined dreamer, share in the extraordinary journey of aviation pioneer Molt Taylor in A Drive in the Clouds: The Story of the Aerocar by Jake Schultz.

If you are interested in purchasing any of these items (as well as any other we have in stock) and are unable to visit us in person, you can contact us by phone at (360) 577-3119 or e-mail at freeced@co.cowlitz.wa.us.  We would love to hear from you!
