Description
and Mission of the Program
The mission of
the Drinking Water program is to promote and protect the health of the people using public
drinking water
supplies in Cowlitz County. Cowlitz County Health Department works
in partnership with Washington State Department of Health.
A
public water system is any water system providing water for human
consumption. This excludes systems serving only one single-family
residence or a system with four or fewer connections all of which
serve residences on the same farm (in Cowlitz County a system
serving one or two single-family residences is not considered a
public water system).
