Description
and Mission of the Program
The
mission of the Environmental Health program is to promote the health
of Cowlitz County citizens through prevention or control of disease
from exposure to their environment.
Environmental Health is
an integral part of public health in Cowlitz County. It focuses on
prevention of disease by minimizing human exposures to contaminants
in water, food, and soil and to disease carrying pests.
