Description
and Mission of the Program
The
Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Healthy Smile Children's Oral Health Coalition is a collaborative
effort sponsored by the Cowlitz County Health Department and
Wahkiakum County Health and Human Services Department. Funding
is provided by the Washington Department of Health. The
mission is to work collaboratively with the Community Health
Partners* (CHP) and all other agencies who serve low-income children
in the region in order to assure and promote good oral health for
the children.
The
purpose of the Healthy Smile Children's Oral Health Coalition is to:

Improve
access to dental care for children.

Enhance
communication between CHP, individual agencies and the dental
community.

Develop
strategies to enhance the oral health of children in the region
