What immunizations
are provided at the Health Department?
The Cowlitz County
Health Department provides vaccines for:
Children:
DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis), PEDIARIX (DTaP, Hepatitis B,
IPV), polio, H influenza B (HIB), hepatitis A, hepatitis
B, MMRV (MMR and Varicella), MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), pneumonia vaccine for 2
years old and older and Prevnar, pneumonia vaccine for children up
to two years old, chicken pox (Varicella), Rotavirus, HPV, and vaccine against influenza.
Adult:
Typhoid, Td, hepatitis A, hepatitis B,
combination vaccine that includes both hepatitis A and B, Twinrix,
pneumonia vaccine and influenza vaccine.
Traveler:
Hepatitis A and B, chicken pox, typhoid and tetanus.
No
child is
denied immunizations due to inability to pay!

2007 Vaccine Requirements
Hepatitis
B: Kindergarten through Grade 10
Varicella (Chicken Pox): Kindergarten and Grades 1 and 6
MMR: 2 doses measles, mumps, and rubella--all grades
Tdap: 1 dose for students in Grade 6 who are age 11 and older
if it has been 5 years since the last Diphtheria/Tetanus vaccine.
