What is Communicable Disease?
A communicable disease
is an illness which is transmittable directly or indirectly by a
person, animal,
vector or inanimate environment to another person. Examples include
influenza, measles, tuberculosis, hepatitis, West Nile Virus and
smallpox, as well as sexually transmitted diseases, such as
gonorrhea, genital herpes, Chlamydia, syphilis, HIV/AIDS and
venereal warts. |
