Description
of the Program
The Cowlitz County
Health Department offers a support
group for those clients suffering primarily from chronic hepatitis C
infection. Co-facilitated by two Health Department
professionals, the
group provides emotional and educational support to clients,
counseling, and medical information. Meetings often feature guest
speakers. Scheduled meetings and featured speakers are listed weekly
in the Community News section of The Daily News.
The
mission of the Hepatitis Educational Group is to inform, advise,
educate, and counsel hepatitis C patients so that they can better
cope with and recover from their illness.
