Health & Human Services is pleased to provide the following information to our community:

Prescription Take-Back Locations

Properly disposing of unused medications lowers chances of accidental poisoning, drug abuse, and environmental hazards.  Check out our prescription drug take-back flyer: Cowlitz County Take-Back Flyer.

Public Health is Essential!!

Public Health is responsible for tracking, responding to, and preventing costly food and water contamination and disease outbreaks.   Even though this is essential to protecting the public's health, new, complex threats and recession budget cuts have made it harder for the public health system to protect and serve Washington's families and communities.  Rebuilding and refocusing the public health services in the State of Washington means we can better monitor and coordinate emergency response keeping our communities safe, reducing costs for taxpayers and protecting our local economy.
