ELECTRONIC HOME MONITORING

INFORMATION

CONTACTS

The Electronic Home Monitoring program works to ensure that clients (inmates) are monitored with the utmost security.  Clients who qualify for EM are placed on strict schedules that are either work or treatment related.  Clients that have drug and alcohol related offenses are required to get a drug and alcohol assessment to determine their level of dependency.  Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings are made available to the client to help them address their addiction.

EM & DUI OFFENDERS

Electronic Home Monitoring served 107 persons in 2007. The high number of persons served is a reflection of the mandatory minimums on electronic monitoring for DUI offenders.  Electronic Home Monitoring is added to the sentence of a repeat DUI offender or can be used instead of jail time for some first-time offenders.  These clients are low-risk offenders who wear an electronic bracelet and are confined to their home for the duration of their sentence.
