The
Building and
Planning Department is
organized into three divisions: Building, Planning, and
Environmental Health. The Department provides a "one-stop" permit
service to the citizens within the unincorporated areas of Cowlitz
County. The Department has a budget of 2.2 million dollars for the
fiscal year 2009 and includes a total of 24 staff positions.

Building Division
The
basic function of the Building Division is to administer the
International Building Codes to promote better structures and ensure
the health and safety of county residents.
