                                 Cowlitz County Parks Reservation

Riverside Park is a gorgeous 58 acre day-use recreation facility located on the Cowlitz River in the Lexington Community. The back of the park is covered in old growth big leaf maple trees and is a site to behold in the Fall. Come and enjoy this beautiful facility.

 Amenities
  • A large covered pavilion for events. The pavilion is perfect for special events such as weddings, birthdays, baby showers, and company picnics. Inside is 1 sink with cold water, electricity, a stand up charcoal grill, and picnic tables.
  •  

  • Playground structure for kids 5-12 years old
  • 4 separate bathroom facilities with flushable toilets and sinks 
  • 125 picnic tables through out the park for family gatherings and picnics  
  • Sports Complex in the front of the park includes 3 youth baseball fields, 3 soccer fields, 2 tennis courts ,and a basketball court with 4 hoops. 
  • There is a large network of paved walking trails with access to the dike along the Cowlitz River to give an areal view of the park and the Cowlitz River. 
  •  Even with all these amenities, there is plenty of wide open spaces to throw your Frisbee or fly a kite on a windy day.

    As requested by the public, Riverside Park is now accepting seasonal reservations from June 1st, through Labor Day weekend.  All the reservations will be submitted online and payments will be made online.

    Pavilion:
                 $50 for the entire day (8a.m. till 10p.m.)
    Picnic Sites:       $25 for the entire day (8a.m. till 10p.m.)

    Each Site will have a sign saying who the area is reserved for.
    The rest of the Park will be first come first serve.



    No Alcohol is allowed in the park.
    Anybody caught driving thru the grass will be fined for vandalism. We have an in ground sprinkler irrigation system and cars driving over it can damage the system.
